  • Switzerland reported a 70% death rate by euthanasia for patients were terminally ill.

  • A group in Switzerland was under investigation for performing assisted suicide in at least three deaths of foreigners. It was not clear if one victim, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, understood that the liquid he was drinking contained a lethal dose of barbiturates.
